In the spirit of this month’s call to organization, we decided to tackle a project that’s a little more elusive than cupboards and drawers: organizing your creative intentions through a vision board
If you read my last post which briefed the expectancy of your fall harvest and how to prepare for its overflowing goodness into your life this season, you may recall the emphasis added on the last tip which suggests the reader to create a “Gracious List” before generating new goals.
What is a gracious list?
A gracious list is a simple list composed of goals you have
completed. The intention of the gracious listing is to first give thanks to the creator for any assistance and guidance lended to you along your journey ensuring the absolute manifestation of your previous goals. It then allows us to stand in perfect clarification of our current disposition. Creating a Gracious list is a great way to accurately comprehend where we are, what we’ve done, and how far we have to go. It is only through genuine gratitude of all that we have and all that we are now do we allow The Great and Beyond to Bless us with more.
Okay now that you’ve charted your previous goals with love and gratitude and hopefully have a clear and astute vision for your life we can delve right into the fun stuff:
The Vision Board!!!
What is it and why is necessary? Oh, I heard you say power, well where is it and how do I create it?
What is a Vision Board
It’s a place to display images, words, or objects that represent what you want to be and do with your life in one beautiful, central location all while keeping your thoughts and actions organized enough to accomplish it.
Why is it Necessary
According to Forbes, A fascinating study conducted on the 1979 Harvard MBA program where graduate students were asked “have you set clear, written goals for your future and made plans to accomplish them?” The result, only 3% had written goals and plans, 13% had goals but they weren’t in writing and 84% had no goals at all. Ten years later, the same group was interviewed again and the result was absolutely mind-blowing.
The 13% of the class who had goals, but did not write them down was earning twice the amount of the 84% who had no goals. The 3% who had written goals were earning, on average, ten times as much as the other 97% of the class combined!
We see the power in just writing your goals down, but what if they had added the visual effect to the project? Actually seeing themselves smacked dab in the middle of their goals. Could you even Imagine!
But You Said Power
Yes, I said Power and I meant it. A vision board is a simple yet powerful visualization tool that activates the universal Law of Attraction to begin manifesting your dreams into reality. The concept of the vision board has been around for generations. What exactly is the law of attraction? The law of attraction states that we attract into our lives anything that we give attention to, regardless whether it be positive or negative. We’r aiming for the positive! Vision boards serve the role of programming the RAS to tune into external stimuli that can help us move closer towards our intentions. Now that’s power baby.
Where is it
It’s inside of you, it lives in your fears, it’s deep in your belly, and no one knows it better than you. It’s Your vision for Your life. Beyond your environment, beyond any past disappointments, beyond the concerns and the know hows. You have irrefutable access to the powerful and kind unknown. So be as honest with yourself as possible. Be as unrealistic as you’re willing to believe and work for, but realize I said Believe first.
