“It takes strength to stick around in this business
I have always been highly ambitious.”
Miss Perry stated this in her 2013 W Magazine issue where she smoldered the cover for the first time. You can catch Katy looking pretty in Pink as she hypnotizes the lens, Relinquishing her inner Monroe with hences of the late Mrs. Becall.
Well, One thing is for sure the truth will last a life time because here we are two years later and this very statement is as relevant as it was when she shared it.
We’ve all heard the horrific Hollyweird stories proclaiming how many had donned themselves in hopeful dreams only to be washed away by sheer criticism, loss of work, and perhaps a misplaced since of self. It’s an unfortunate reality for many, but it doesn’t have to be. Katy clearly states she is strong and with over a decade of success we have to agree.
“It was five years of living in L.A. with no money, writing bad checks, selling my clothes to make rent, [and] borrowing money,” she told Seventeen magazine.
Let’s face it the girl has guts, but her guts look just like ours, so let’s focus our attention on ways we can strengthen our foundation so that we too will be able to state clearly and confidently “I am Strong.“
Maslow stated that people are motivated to achieve certain needs. When one need is fulfilled a person seeks to fullfil the next one, and so on. He professes that there are five basic needs every individual craves to satisfy and must do so before moving up to the next level all with self-actualization being the highest.
What do you think? Do you agree with the great Maslow? Well, let’s just say you do. It may be wise to slow down and sew the necessary weaves now before hasting our way to the top of any goal we may have set. Remember anyone can make it to the top, but no everyone stays. We want to remain strong and ambitious like Katy in this uncertain business or in any business for that matter
“One of the best pieces of advice I ever got was from a horse master. He told me to go slow to go fast. I think that applies to everything in life. We live as though there aren’t enough hours in the day, but if we do each thing calmly and carefully we will get it done quicker and with much less stress.”
Best of luck
