Remember it’s almost always in the details. A plain nice A-Line dress similar to the one pictured above will do the trick. If you look closely there is only one detail on the vest like dress which is a golden clasp. The dress mainly stands out because of its perfected lines. Assembling a deep V plunge, but not to deep where it is still considered modest and classy. The band around the waist accentuates the mid section without overly hugging the curves. Designer Calvin Klein did well to create an illusion of a split by dividing the pieces. The diagonal cross front adds attitude, interest, and style. However, for this occasion the most important thing about this dress is the length.  Short enough to enjoy the day, long enough to say professional.  This dress is a great go to for many occasions. You can even add a nice sleeve underneath or wear it unzipped and open as a vest over your other two piece ensembles. (ex. Pants and shirt, skirt and blouse)

The Big Secret: This dress was originally 140.00 USD, but I was able to snag it for 30.00 in my local Ross Department store. I’m not much of thrifty, but I do love a nice department roam from time to time. It’s usually a hit and miss, but when it’s a hit it’s a really big one!

Designer: Calvin Klein

I would love to give more details about the dress, but since I bought it “out of season” I’m unable to provided much more.

The details:

I paired the dress with this season’s Gucci Slides and sling bag with a Guess watch. All Accessories have a hint of gold which in my case worked really well sense the dress is null in color and in prints. However I wore silver hoops to play off of the subtlety of the white. This is just one way you can style it. Heels and a handle bag would work just the same, but on the weekend during brunch hours I wanted to keep comfort in mind. Not to forget La’s Parking.

Three Things to Remember when buying your dress:

  1. Lines
  2. Length
  3. Quality (Better to buy out of season quality then spend on flimsy fabrics)
